Introducing a New Journal: Zoonoses

We are delighted to announce the launch of this new journal. Zoonoses is a peer-reviewed, gold open access, international journal dedicated to spreading multidisciplinary views driving the advancement of the diverse disciplines of zoonotic disease research. Providing a forum for publication of original research articles, review articles, commentaries, editorials, short communications, case report articles, letters to the Editor and study protocols directed at research scientists, physicians, veterinarians, and public health professionals.

There is a need to build a high-quality interdisciplinary forum, dedicated specifically to zoonotic disease research and Zoonoses seeks to fill that niche. The journal will offer a cross-disciplinary platform devoted to communicating advances in zoonoses; offering insights into different areas of the field of research to encourage cooperation and exchange among research scientists, physicians, veterinarians, and public health professionals.

The journal will be open access to respond to the rapidly evolving landscape of academic publishing; accepted papers will be freely available without any access barriers. We have assembled a distinguished expert group of Deputy Editors-in-Chief and Editorial Board members who will assure a timely review of all manuscripts and maintain the highest standards of quality and scientific rigor. Continuous development of the Editorial Board will ensure a balance of expertise and geographic scope. The journal will publish papers from authors around the world on topics related to medical sciences, veterinary sciences, and public health.

With the launch of Zoonoses, we hope to serve involved communities by providing an open-access platform to promote communication where scientific ideas and clinical needs can be identified, collaboratively explored, and ultimately solved. Of course, just like any new entity, we are starting out small and intend to grow in such way as to maintain innovation, quality, diversity of topics, and relevance in the published articles. We look forward to your contributions to the journal and have every expectation that it will become one of the most respected journals in the field of zoonoses.

We look forward to collaborating with you as we work to make Zoonoses a success and we welcome your feedback as authors, readers, and reviewers of the journal.
