From October 29 to 31, 2024, the inaugural International Forum on Challenges and Responses to Zoonoses<\/em> was successfully held at the Taigu Campus of Shanxi Agricultural University, Shanxi, China.<\/p>\n

The forum featured speakers from prestigious institutions across China and abroad, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Wuhan Institute of Virology, Chinse Academy of Sciences (CAS), Institute of Microbiology, CAS, Harbin Veterinary Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute, CAAS, Shanghai Veterinary Research Institute, CAAS, China Agricultural University, Shenyang Agricultural University, Huazhong Agricultural University, Henan Agricultural University, Hebei Agricultural University, Xuzhou Medical University, Jinan University, China Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Federal University, as well as international participants from the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, Sapienza University, and others.<\/p>\n

This gathering marked a significant step in fostering global collaboration and advancing research on zoonotic diseases. Six keynote speeches took place on the morning of October 30 as follows:<\/p>\n

\"Qijun<\/p>\n

Qijun Chen from Shenyang Agricultural University delivered a talk titled \u201cProtein Posttranslational Modification in Zoonotic Protozoan Parasites<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Gong<\/p>\n

Gong Cheng from Tsinghua University spoke about the \u201cTransmission and Infection of Mosquito-Borne Viruses<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"Xiaofeng<\/p>\n

Xiaofeng Liang from Jinan University discussed \u201cZoonotic Diseases from the Perspective of Disease Control<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"Xiaoping<\/p>\n

Xiaoping Dong from the Institute of Virology, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention delivered a talk titled \u201cDisease X-Preparing and Accelerating<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"Zhangqi<\/p>\n

Zhangqi Shen from China Agricultural University discussed \u201cSpecies Shift from C. jejuni to C. coli in Poultry and Human<\/em>s\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"Yuhai<\/p>\n

Yuhai Bi From the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences spoke about \u201cCASCIRE Works on Novel Influenza Virus: Identification and Public Risk of an Emerging H2N2 AIV<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n
